2017-18 WiSys Ambassador class hosts innovative events across the state
Upon leaving the annual WiSys Ambassador orientation and training in August, members of the 2017-18 ambassador class were already brainstorming creative new ways to inspire innovation across the UW System comprehensive campuses. One semester later, many of their ideas have come to fruition, from new student organizations to special campus events.

Every year, WiSys collaborates with UW System Administration to offer three faculty grant programs: the Applied Research Grant (ARG), Applied Research-WiSys Technology Grant (AR-WiTAG) and Prototype Development Fund (PDF). This year, 12 projects were funded, totaling just less than $500,000.
WiSys Innovators launch crowdfunding efforts to supply pain-free wheelchairs to veterans
Husband and wife team Jim and Teresa Maerzke recently launched a special campaign aimed at providing injured veterans with their technology for a new, "pain-free" wheelchair.
